PRITHVI K RAJ: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India; This is Prithvi K Raj, filmmaker and visual storyteller with a passion for crafting narratives that delve into the human experience. My journey began with formal training in Digital Filmmaking, which led to the creation of my debut short film, Viratham – Fasting. The film received critical acclaim, winning awards such as the Jury Mention Award at the Alpavirama South Asian Short & Documentary Film Festival and securing screenings at prominent platforms like Films Division India, Mumbai. It was also officially selected at eighteen international film festivals, including the MOSAIC International Film Festival in Canada. In addition to my independent projects, I had the privilege of assisting in the Tamil feature film Mandela, which provided me with valuable experience in feature-length filmmaking and a deeper understanding of large-scale cinematic storytelling. I am very selective in choosing stories for my projects, focusing on narratives deeply rooted in real-life people and their emotions. I aim to craft stories that resonate with audiences on a profound level, creating an emotional connection that stays with them long after the experience.
